As a seasoned traveler who has visited numerous W hotels around the world, my recent stay at W New York - Times Square was a disappointing departure from the usual standard of excellence. Despite the convenient location in the heart of Times Square, the room itself fell short - unclean with maintenance issues that should not be present in a hotel of this caliber. While the staff were friendly and welcoming, the overall experience was marred by long wait times at the front desk, leading to frustration and a sense of poor service. For the price paid, the quality of the room and the efficiency of the check-in process did not meet expectations, leaving a sour taste in my mouth. In contrast to the subpar room conditions, the hotel's entrance foyer was nicely designed, hinting at the potential for a more elevated experience that unfortunately did not translate to the guest rooms. Hopefully, improvements can be made to enhance the overall guest experience and bring this property up to the level of excellence that the W brand is known for.
